Lacrosse heads to playoffs

Chieftains will face the Eagles in first round

The lacrosse season has been a wild ride so far for the young Chieftains.

With a current record of 6-5, the team’s coach, Ruben Toribio said there is still hope to add more wins.

“This is what we’ve been fighting for,” Toribio told the team. “We need to do this for our seniors.”

The first round of playoffs will take place this Friday at 7pm, when the Chieftains take on the Eisenhower Eagles. The game will be played on Swinehart field, and the team is hoping for a big fan turnout.

“We are going to need a big audience,” senior captain Charlie Fromm said, “to help us win.”
