HHS joins fight against cancer with Relay For Life
They’re fast, they’re hard-working, and best of all they do it for a good cause.
Saturday, May 17th at 10 a.m., the Hispanic Honor Society will be participating in a Relay for Life fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society at Riverbends park. The relay will begin promptly at 10 a.m. that Saturday and go until 10 a.m. the next day.
“I just love helping out and doing the fundraisers but it’s actually a very very big deal,” sophomore Ashley Kmetz said. “My nature center has a team. Utica track has a team. Even wiley has a team.”
With over 90 members involved in just the Hispanic Honor Society, the group has set a goal to generate over $3,500. You can help by spreading the word and making a donation at: http://www.relayforlife.org/getinvolved/findanevent/app/findanevent.aspx and searching the zip code: 48317.
