For years there has been the debate about whether Starbucks or Dunkin is better. Students are diving into the debate bring up points about all aspects 0f each company.
Starbucks has more of a variety of drink options than Dunkin which is why multiple students continue to show their love for Starbucks.
“I prefer Starbucks because their drinks and cake pops are superior,” sophomore Alania Smith said. “My go to order is a Strawberry Acai Refresher with lemonade and a birthday cake pop.”
According to Google, Starbucks tends to use dark roast coffee beans which leaves certain coffees tasting bitter as dunkin uses Arabica beans that leaves a flavor of chocolate with hints of fruits and citrus which gets their customers to return.
“Starbucks has bitter coffee, I don’t really like it as much as Dunkin,” Teacher Jennifore Allore said. “Dunkin has sweet and creamy coffee, like their holiday drinks which I enjoy.”
Some students enjoy both Starbucks and Dunkin.
“I like them both equally,” senior Megan Zamora says. “At Starbucks, I would get a Pink drink with cold foam on top and for Dunkin I would go during the fall to get the Pumpkin Spice ice coffee.”
“At Dunkin I’ve been getting a Cookie Butter Crumble Cold Brew with almond milk, and at Starbucks I get their Frappuccino,” Kamela Benkoucha said. “Both Dunkin and Starbucks are good, but I would choose Dunkin before Starbucks.”
Starbucks returns with their classic holiday drinks, Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte, Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, and their newest drink Iced Gingerbread Oat Milk Chai. Senior Stephanie Bartlett tells us her favorite holiday drink at Starbucks.
“I love Starbucks holiday drinks, when I heard they had a new drink I got at as soon as possible,” Bartlett said. “I tried the new drink called Gingerbread Oak Milk Latte, I’m glad I tried it because it’s my new favorite seasonal drink.”
Some students believe Dunkin has better quality drinks than Starbucks.
“Dunkin taste way better then Starbucks,” junior Tiffany Roose said. “They have better drinks and food, everyone should try the Ice Carmel latte with oak milk, a pump of vanilla, and whipped cream it’s my go to order.”
“The hot chocolate at Starbucks isn’t that good,” junior Brooklyn Rose said. ” I enjoy Dunkins instead with whipped cream and sprinkles on top paired with a chocolate dipped donut.”
According to Google, Dunkin donuts is one of the world’s largest baked goods chains with more than 12,000 locations.
“I love the donuts at Dunkin they’re so delicious,” junior Evaleigh Guerrieri said. “Every time I go, I get a Strawberry Frosted donut with sprinkles.”
Starbucks employees give a warm, cheerful vibe to the customers and that is why students keep going.
“Starbucks is popular and trendy,” senior Allison Polk said. “I like going there because customer service is great, and they have really good drinks.”
Sophomore Gabriel Bugnariu explains the pros of Starbucks and Cons of Dunkin.
“I would rather have a Starbucks drink than Dunkin because they taste way better and have more flavor,” Bugnariu said. “Dunkins drinks are either bland, or bitter.”
With all the rage on which is better, Starbucks or Dunkin’ the students will continue to debate on the better one.
