Coachella is a musical festival that take place over two different weekends: April 13-15 and April 20-22.
People all around the world buy tickets and get to see their favorite artists perform. All full schedules of the line up can be found on Coachella’s website.
The event features musical artists from many genres of music including rock, pop, indie, hip hop, as well as art installations and sculptures. Across the festival, several stages live music is continuously playing.
There are many other attractions other than the singing. There are many famous places to eat. A very popular attraction is the ‘Indio Central Market”, Coachella has many food lovers so they have catered with more than 15 restaurants under the tent. The tent has great seating and can fit many people. A Ferris wheel, is also a present attraction that all people, even influencers have ridden. There are also many art installations for all visitors to examine, One famous example includes the ‘Balloon Guy’. He creates the balloon chain that is known to light up the night and add to the special weekend.
Music festivals have become a cultural phenomenon all around the world. They have brought many influencers and social medias platforms together.
“I love that everyone shows their cool outfits on Instagram,” senior Julia Bartoy said. “James Charles outfits were my favorite.”
Many people had unique outfits, such as James Charles, the Dolan Twins, and many other makeup gurus. Boho styles, such as small tops and flowy cardigans was one of the most popular outfits at Coachella.
Prices vary year to year depending on how fast he tickets are selling out. This year the tickets were being sold in January. They sold out very quick this year, so the prices were very high.
“I think it is crazy how fast the tickets sold out,” junior Shelby Carlson said. “considering how high the prices were”.
The tickets sold out in leave than 40 minutes the minute they came out.
Festival pass and shuttle combo packages will cost $504 per person. VIP passes are priced at $999 each, while parking passes cost $150 per weekend. Car camping is $125 per space, with tent camping.
