Student releases Vivid Apparel
Jonathan Carter

Junior Julian Namo is a naturally talented artist. Namo has never taken any art classes to teach him how to draw, but he decided to follow his heart and
create something that a lot of people love.

“The business started back when I wanted to do something with myself,” Namo said, “and wanted to bring a clothing brand that stood out from the
others.”
He created the brand Vivid Apparel and released a line of hoodies and T-shirts.

“My main influences for my company would probably be street wear,” Namo said, “and that type of vibe.”

The product designs mostly consist of a Vivid Apparel logo on the front right side of the item, and a detailed picture on the back.

“I hand draw all the designs myself,” Namo said, “and I think of all the ideas. Then I have my team bring it to life digitally.”

Vivid Apparel had its first drop on Dec. 29, 2023.

“Our first drop is almost sold out,” Namo said. “It was around 300 pieces.”

The prices of these pieces range from $55 for all hoodies and $40 for T-shirts.

“Our target audience is really all around,” Namo said. “I have all types of people wearing them from eighth graders all the way to 25-year-olds.”

Out of all of the pieces, the most popular is the Black Batman design.

“I love all my designs,” Namo said, “but I do think that one stands out a lot. It’s a full black and white background on the back with a black bat with red eyes on the front.”

Being a creator of a clothing line is already a huge accomplishment to make in life. Namo has already accomplished this at the age of 16.

“If they are able to start their own business and make a profit — it’s great experience,” principal Tim Youngblood said. “If you can make some money, I think that is
excellent.”

By starting a business in high school, you can gain more consumers because of the community around you.

“I would wear it,” senior Bella Lulgjuraj said, “to support a small business.”

Some buy the product for its cool, intricate, and trendy design.

“It looks nice,” senior Nick Gojcaj said. “I really like the black and the white.”
