Bronny achieved his first career start in the Lakers’ preseason finale against the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors played most of their starters, giving Bronny and the Lakers a hard time. Warriors pummeled them putting up 132 points to the Laker’s 74, on Friday Oct 18. Bronny put up a nice stat line with the 35 minutes of game he played: 17 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals, FGs 7-17, 3Ps 1-5, FTs 2-2.
“I think he is doing alright for a rookie, but still has some way to go,” junior Michael Rice said. “He definitely has some potential in the NBA.”
Many people believe in Bronny James, but there are a handful of people who have their doubts.
“In my opinion, I dislike him,” junior Austin Banushi said. “As an NBA player, he doesn’t live up to NBA standards.” There are many lovers and doubters, but Bronny chooses to believe in himself and not what others say.
This is Bronny James’ first game, with much hype and lots of expectations, Bronny stays calm. His stats were nothing impressive, but he was sure excited to be on the NBA court not as a fan but as a player. During the Timberwolves game Lakers’ won 110-103, on Monday Oct 22. His stats were 3 minutes played, 1 rebound, FGs 0-2, 3Ps 0-1.
Starting the season, many people had doubts, but Lebron had no doubt that his kid was good. His famous comment about Bronny, “I don’t know if people really understand,” Lebron said, “Bronny doesn’t care.” This is what Lebron had to say after news reporters asked him about his son. Lebron mentions when people talk bad about Bronny or say he is overrated Bronny takes it all with a grain of salt. Bronny does it his way and won’t let others distract him from his way.
Bronny James is on top of the newspaper, because he is the son of the NBA Legend Lebron James. He has many expectations not only from his father, but from everyone watching and rooting for him. His season at USC allowed him to get drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers and to fulfill his fathers’ dreams to play with his son.
