On Tuesday, October 10th, sophomores and seniors will be given a new presentation that’ll be new to all of the students. The students will attend a suicide prevention awareness presentation. The presentation is conducted by Dennis Liegghio, who is the founder and president of KNOWRESOLVE, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting mental health and preventing youth suicides through education.

Topics that’ll be covered include:

• Facts and myths about suicide
• Risk factors and warning signs for suicide
• Available resources
• Tips for coping with emotional distress

“This presentation was really beneficial,” senior Madison Mosher said. “It was interesting and wasn’t a waste of time.”

This presentation intends to help the students with suicide prevention.
