Over the weekend, the dance team competed at their 3rd dance competition, which was the teams last regional competition. The competition was held at Royal Oak High School, with eight teams competing in their category. The girls performed well as they brought home many awards.

At the end of the day, they received first place in jazz, second place in pom, a choreography award, and a triple threat award.

The dancers were thrilled that they performed well at the weekend competition.

“It was really fun,” junior Addison Guitar said. “We also did really well which made us happy.”

“We connected really well on and off stage,” junior Julia Meguid said. “The team had really chemistry.”

As the girls had a good weekend, their focus has shifted to their next competition, which they will be competing at nationals.

This is the first year they made nationals, and they are more than excited to go.

“I am extremely pumped for nationals,” Guitar said. “It’s going to be a great and fun experience for everyone.”
