French Club hosted a painting party for members on March 1. The group was guided through the process by an artist from Painting With A Twist.

The attendees enjoyed the party, though not all of them followed the guide. With 17 students working at different speeds, who can blame them? The event allowed for the students to showcase their creativity, while sticking to a central idea.

“We had a lot of different varieties of the Eiffel Tower,” French teacher and director of French Club, Susan Bernardi, said.

The event also allowed for the students to spend time with friends in a different setting. It showed the attendees that it is easy to make school events fun and interesting.

“I thought it was really fun and I got to hang out with people I usually don’t,” senior Amanda Monarch said. Monarch is the vice-president of French Club this year.

The party lasted two hours, during which the club members created their own version of the famous French monument, the Eiffel Tower.

“I like that we were all painting the same thing with our own twist on it,” junior Aubrey Zahlmann said. “I did it last year and then again this year.”

Zahlmann said that she would participate again if the tradition continues.

Overall, the party was a great success and a lot of fun for those who attended.
