Daylight Savings

Riley Davey, Reporter

Daylight savings is something Americans have had to deal with since 1918. The purpose of Daylight Savings is to conserve energy resources by adding more daylight hours. There are varying opinions on whether daylight savings is still necessary and it is an issue that has been debated for some time.

Some people see advantages of daylight savings but still think that it is an outdated system.

“It seems outdated,” senior Nathan Wolgamott said. “but it helps to adjust the time to the sunrise and sun set.”

“I like the fact i can get an extra hour of sleep,” senior Jackson Everaert said. “but I don’t understand why we have it in the first place.”

Other people feel that daylight savings is pointless to continue using in the modern day. To them, it is just a nuisance.

“Daylight savings is so useless that I cannot even begin explaining myself.” senior Dylan Hintz said.
