Choir sings the roof off the auditorium

Leah Wylie, Guest Reporter

The melodious voices of our fellow students echoed through the school on May 18, at 7 p.m. in the Utica Arthur Harper Auditorium. The choir class put on a concert to show their friends and family the results of all of their hard work.

“The concert is a grade for the class,” teacher Jennifer Gard-Eret said,”but the kids still will have fun.”

Although not all the students have been in the choir class before, they have been fully prepared by Gard-Eret. This concert will not be the first performance that this group put on during the 2016-2017 school year.

“This will be the second concert put on by the class this year,” Gard-Eret said, “and they also recently went to festival for choir.”

To support the music department, patrons can enjoy the concert for free, but donations would not be rejected. There is little to no funding for the music programs, so any donations would help.
