Mr. Chieftain 2019 on the clock

Evan Gray, Online Editor & Business Manager

For the third consecutive year, the competition previously known as He’s a Lady, now known as Mr. Chieftain, is coming into swing. The competition is where boys get coached by ‘mentors’, who are really just female students. The boys have to do different acts which usually consists of an interview, a talent portion, selling t-shirts, answering a series of on stage questions, and modeling for the crowd.

This year Mr. Chieftain is taking place on Feb 13, but the applications for male students who want to do it are due by Jan. 18. The staff is scared there are too little people signed up for the event that they might not be able to hold it due to lack of participation. There are flyers located in the main office and the forms are due to Mrs. Derk.

The application only has a few questions and there’s no charge for signing up so it’s available top any student who would like to sign up and participate in the charity event, the money is going to the Macomb Charitable Foundation, which donate locally to people in need.
