Key Club, a student-led organization that encourages students to be leaders by serving their community, had its first meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 6:55 a.m. in the Media Center.

“It was an informational meeting with a brief presentation on our goals for the year,” senior Haley Grooms said.

Students wanting to join must fill out a membership form by Oct. 2. Forms are available from Grieco in room 232. Dues are $20 annually, and there is also a separate form for seniors who would like a medallion for graduation.

“It is a service organization that serves as a springboard for lifelong community service and friendship,” club adviser Joy Greico said. “It also develops leadership skills.”

The club meets every Wednesday at 6:55 a.m. in the media center, and students are still welcome to join.
