The undefeated varsity football team will be facing the Ford Falcons this Friday. The student section’s theme for Friday will be “white-out.” The game will take place at 7:00 p.m. on our home field.

“I can’t wait to play Ford; I think Utica has it down this year,” junior guard Andrea Loria said. “They’re not ready for us.”

Tonight’s halftime will feature the varsity dance team, hosting a kids clinic. They’ve practiced a routine for parents and fans to see.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will also take place, officially opening the field with its new turf. A portion of Utica Community School’s bond money was used for the new field.

“It’s going be a really nice event,” principal Tom Lietz said. “Kids from all of our sports will be on the field with us. The Board of Education, superintendent, and myself will be there and we will cut the ribbon in honor of the new field, then continue with our halftime show.”

Lastly, halftime will feature the marching band with their performance of “The Greatest Showman.”

“I can’t wait to perform our halftime show,” junior drum major Annie Droelle said. “We’ve worked really hard to perfect every formation we make on the field.”
