The third quarter of school can be stressful, with cold weather and endless homework. With the end of winter, students await spring break as a way to finally relax from the stress of school. From getting some much-needed rest to traveling the world, there are many ways students enjoy spending their break.
To celebrate, Utica High School hosted a trip to Punta Canta for their seniors. The trip was full of unforgettable memories and beach days. Senior Brooke Stalker shares her exciting experience celebrating the end of senior year in Punta Cana.

“The beach welcome party was probably the most fun,” Stalker said. “It was an adrenaline rush, it was a good time.”

Alongside Stalker, Senior Emma Juncaj attended the Punta Canta trip as well.
“My must-pack items for the trip are sunscreen, bikinis, and liquid IV,” Juncaj said. “I also brought snacks because they had some mysterious food there.”
Other than traveling, many students enjoy staying at home. Although it may seem less eventful than a tropical vacation, there are many ways that students stay entertained at home. One popular event this year was the new Super Mario Galaxy movie that came out on Apr 1. Sophomore Kaydence Clark talks about her experience seeing the movie over break.

“I went with my family to Emagine to see Super Mario Bros,” Clark said. “I rate it 10 out of 10, and I would see it again.”
From relaxing at home to traveling the world, students have many ways to have fun and refresh over break. With many students feeling stressed by the end of winter, spring break is the time to relax for the end of the school year.
