On Wednesday, October 11, the Utica Chieftain Marching Band took the field and performed their Broadway-themed half-time show for Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) Festival hosted by Troy High School.

The Chieftain Marching Band earned a Division I, the highest rating that can be earned. Eisenhower, Stevenson, and Ford II also received a Division I.

The band was evaluated by three judges on their music, marching, and showmanship. Each band receives a fifteen-minute time block to perform their show.

The marching band earned “straight ones” meaning that in each of the three categories, they got first division ratings.
